Neighborhood Meetings

The Main South CDC regularly engages with Main South residents to address concerns and collaboratively shape the future of the neighborhood.

The Main South CDC hosts and/or helps facilitate two neighborhood meetings every month, for different parts of the Main South neighborhood. These meetings always have representation from city departments (Worcester Police Department, Inspectional Services, etc.), elected officials, and neighborhood stakeholders. Main South residents and business owners are always welcome and encouraged to attend. These meetings serve as an opportunity for Main South community members to report information to city departments, hear about neighborhood happenings, and build relationships with neighbors.

The Main South Beacon Brightly Neighborhood Association Meeting is one of our two monthly neighborhood meetings. Every second Thursday of the month, business owners, residents, and other community members from the Beacon Brightly neighborhood, gather for this community improvement meeting. The Main South Beacon Brightly Neighborhood Association works to advocate for neighborhood resources, coordinate with city representatives, organize community-building events and beautification projects. The group consists of community members from May Street to Chandler Street and the side streets in-between.

The Kilby-Gardner-Hammond Community Meeting takes place every 3rd Wednesday of the month. This gathering is reserved for community members to discuss neighborhood issues and happenings with city officials, and to connect with neighbors. This meeting focuses on the section of the Main South Neighborhood along Main Street between Hammond to Cambridge Streets, and side streets between.
